It seems, today, like the most gracious of all His commands.

When the do-list looms long

and a sleepless night threatens efficiency

When the things I’d like to change

I can’t

Be still and know that I am God. (Ps 46:10)

 

I am the One who sustains the world.

I am the One who is making you new.

I am the One who never lets go.

Rest, child.

I let myself relax

sink deep into strong love.

There, held, I move into the day.
